Last March, I was on a religious tour to Arab Saudi. Well, not a tour in a common sense, a pilgrimage tour or Umrah as known by the Muslims. I was compromising on a free work travel to Abu Dhabi when I choose to go for this 2 weeks of soul searching and worship travel. And nothing is wasted along the way as I got even more than what I was looking for. Planning to go again in 2012 with more family members and hopping to perform even better. I wish shopping would not be in the list again as it got me distracted even though I wasn't the one who did it. I was accompanying, if 'informal guard' does not define the term exactly huhuhh....
Anyway, it was a superb blessings not just because I am a Muslim but also because of the beauty of the mosques, maqams and historical places. Who says ibadah and prayers could only be performed under a decayed roof? Or rotten wall? Hey... go to the Masjids in Madinah, Haram and Jeddah (juz to mention a few from 10 000 others) and you'll know exactly what I mean. Till today, I still can not believe that I've been to Masjidil Haram and Nabawi to pray, doa' and recite the Quranul Karim there. Hrmm... I hope even though just a bit, I've change to a better Muslim and better person since that visit. Ameenn..!
