Today I Remember Him

Today I remember him
He’s a man of one or two words
He’s a husband to a wife
He’s a father of 7 children
He’s a teacher to thousands of students

Yet he taught me more about life than academic
How to live upright than mathematics

Today I remember him
Today I long for him
Today I wish he’s still here
Today I wonder if things
Would have been different
If he’s still around

Today I remember him
As I wish I can console mourning friends
How the loss of someone dearest to us
Can shake our world
And still change us for good
How their words linger around us
And stay knotted to our heart
How their passion and grief in life
Torch up solution to our life’s trouble
And there will be many times
In our life’s ahead
That we’ll keep reminiscing and tearing
That he was once there for us

Today I remember him
For eternity I shall do
And so do you
